Water use on Australian Farms, 2004-05
Water Use on Australian Farms, 2004-05 (ABS Cat. No. 4618.0), published in July 2006 provides comprehensive data on the volume of water used for irrigation by crop type and area. Please note that the Water Account, Australia 2004-05, published in November 2006, also contains estimates of Agricultural water use, and that small differences in published data occur as a result of different data sources and compilation methodologies. The Water Account, Australia 2004-05 is the preferred source of data for Agricultural water use in the Australian economy. Water Use on Australian Farms, 2004-05 presents more spatial and crop detail on water use in the context of irrigation management and practices by the agricultural industry.
